Minister Işıkhan Announced the Extension of SGK Debt Postponement to 72 Months
Minister of Labour and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, visited Kars to attend a series of official programs. Minister Işıkhan started his visit at the Kars Governorate, where he received updates on local projects from Governor Ziya Polat, followed by visits to the local headquarters of the AK Party and the MHP. Speaking at the AK Party Kars Extended Provincial Advisory Council Meeting, Işıkhan emphasized Türkiye's strategic position in domestic and foreign policy, stating, "We are now a global actor making century-long plans in every field, from working life to economy, defense industry to foreign policy."
Major Financial Support for Employers
During the Businessmen Consultation Meeting in Kars, Minister Işıkhan announced significant regulations aimed at easing the financial burden on employers:
The SGK debt postponement period has been doubled from 36 months to 72 months.
The unsecured postponement limit has been increased from 250,000 TL to 10 million TL.
For applications made until August 31, 2026, the annual interest rate for debt postponement has been reduced from 39% to 29%.
Following his engagements in Kars, Minister Işıkhan departed for Ardahan to continue his official schedule.
