KARS – A massive search and rescue operation is underway in eastern Türkiye for 26-year-old Barış Ceco, who has been missing since May 30. Ceco, who resides in the city center of Kars, had traveled to the rural village of Küçük Boğatepe to spend the holiday with his family before disappearing under mysterious circumstances.
Local villagers initially launched a localized search effort after Ceco failed to return. However, after days of combing the area with no results, the distressed family formally notified law enforcement and emergency services.
Comprehensive Land and Air Search Underway
Following the alert, teams from the Gendarmerie and the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) were swiftly deployed to the region. The search operation has since intensified, utilizing specialized commando units and trained tracking dogs to navigate the rugged terrain
To maximize the chances of locating the missing youth, authorities are also deploying thermal-imaging drones to scan the vast countryside from above. Officials urge anyone with information regarding Barış Ceco's whereabouts to contact emergency services immediately
