"World Kars Day," which brings together people from Kars around the globe, will be celebrated with enthusiasm on October 30. First brought to the agenda through the initiatives of journalist and writer Mehmet Ali Arslan, this special day was officially declared and first celebrated in 2024.
Along with the Kars Governorship, Kars Municipality, local NGOs, and associations, people from Kars living across Turkey—particularly in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Kocaeli—as well as abroad, are preparing to organize various events for this meaningful occasion. The celebrations aim to preserve the rich culture of Kars and strengthen solidarity among the diaspora
