Caught in Kars: Over Half a Kilo of Methamphetamine Extracted from Passenger's Stomach

An anti-narcotics operation in Kars, Turkey, led to the arrest of an Iranian national who attempted to smuggle a significant amount of drugs inside his body. Police recovered 571 grams of methamphetamine, divided into 76 capsules, from the suspect's stomach.

  • The Interception: Police teams stopped a passenger bus entering the province of Kars for a routine check. An Iranian passenger acting suspiciously was taken into custody.

  • Medical Intervention: Following a medical examination at a local hospital, X-rays revealed that the suspect had swallowed the drugs. Doctors successfully removed 76 wrapped packages of methamphetamine.

  • Legal Action: After legal processing at the police station, the suspect was brought before a court and officially arrested on charges of "drug trafficking."
