Speaking at the "Consultation Meeting" held with broad participation in Kars, Diyaeddin Şahin, President of the Association of Hajj and Umrah Travel Agencies (HURSAD), stated that they gathered to confront the past, evaluate the present, and together shape the future of the Turkish Hajj organisation. Emphasising that Turkey is one of the exemplary countries taken as a model by the world in Hajj operations, Şahin noted that this mission is no longer just about transporting people to and from the holy lands.
Highlighting that modern Hajj management requires international diplomacy, strong coordination, advanced planning, technological infrastructure, and crisis management, Şahin said:
"We are talking about one of the largest organisations in the world, where millions of people move simultaneously. Being part of such a massive operation is a great source of pride for all of us, but it is also a tremendous responsibility. Praise be to Allah, we have successfully completed the 2026 Hajj organisation. We swiftly resolved many problems encountered on the ground. Our coordination has grown stronger every year. We established our relations with our counterparts in Saudi Arabia on firmer ground and significantly increased the service quality provided to our pilgrims. The success we achieve today is the result of the dedication of a massive team working day and night."
