District Governor İsmail Demirtaş inspected the ongoing border patrol roads project on-site, which is being constructed to enhance border security in the Akyaka district of Kars. Officials stated that work is progressing rapidly and the project will significantly increase the mobility of security forces.

Within the scope of the "Border Patrol Roads Construction Project," aimed at ensuring more effective security along the border line, operations continue without interruption. District Governor İsmail Demirtaş visited the field to inspect the project first-hand. During his visit to the construction site, Governor Demirtaş received a comprehensive briefing on the latest status of the work from the contractor company officials and representatives of the relevant institutions.

Emphasizing the vital importance of the patrol roads in strengthening border security, Governor Demirtaş noted that the roads currently under construction will facilitate transport for security forces along the border, enabling a faster response to potential incidents.

Governor Demirtaş instructed officials to maintain strict adherence to quality standards as well as occupational health and safety regulations. It was emphasized that upon completion of the project, the transportation infrastructure along the border line will be strengthened, allowing for more efficient execution of security operations.

The Kars Branch of the Green Crescent continues its anti-addiction efforts and awareness training sessions across the city without slowing down. In this context, the Green Crescent organized two major training programs targeting both the staff of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and the members of the AK Party Women’s Branch.

First Training Conducted for Family and Social Services Staff Within the scope of the "Technology Addiction Training" organized for the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services staff, the psychological, social, and physical impacts of unconscious technology use on individuals were discussed. The Green Crescent trainer pointed out that excessive use of digital devices could yield negative outcomes ranging from intra-family communication to workplace productivity, and shared methods for managing screen time and maintaining a digital balance.

Comprehensive Training for the AK Party Women's Branch In another program led by the Green Crescent Kars Provincial Trainer, a comprehensive anti-addiction training session was provided to the members of the AK Party Women’s Branch. The training offered detailed insights into various types of addiction—primarily technology, tobacco, alcohol, and substance abuse—as well as prevention methods and healthy lifestyle habits. The highly productive session concluded with a Q&A segment and a mutual exchange of ideas. The Green Crescent Kars Branch expressed its gratitude to the AK Party Women’s Branch Organization for their hospitality and keen interest.

The Governor of Kars, Ziya Polat, visited the Kars Nursing Home on the occasion of Father's Day to celebrate this special day with the elderly residents. Mustafa Tosunoğlu, the Kars Provincial Director of Family and Social Services, also attended the visit.

During the visit, which took place in a warm and sincere atmosphere, Governor Ziya Polat took a close interest in the residents and chatted with them individually. Celebrating the Father's Day of the "great plane trees" (the elders), Polat stated that the elderly are the most important values of society and are always held in the highest esteem.

As part of the program, various gifts were presented to the nursing home residents, and a special cake prepared for the meaning and importance of the day was cut.
