KARS — A comprehensive preparatory meeting was held in Kars for the upcoming July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day commemoration events, which will be organized this year under the theme "The Will is Ours, The Victory is Ours." Presided over by the Governor of Kars, Ziya Polat, the meeting took place at the Governorate Assembly Hall to discuss the event itinerary, institutional task allocation, and coordination efforts.
Inter-Institutional Coordination and Task Allocation
The meeting was attended by directors of relevant public institutions and organizations, alongside representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs). To ensure the seamless execution of the programs, a clear division of labor was established. The detailed agenda reviewed city-wide commemoration ceremonies for martyrs, marches, conferences, exhibitions, religious programs, and strategies to ensure high public participation. Furthermore, critical measures regarding security, transportation, health, communication, and technical infrastructure were finalized.

Governor Ziya Polat emphasized that July 15 stands as a historic turning point where the Turkish nation staunchly defended its democracy, independence, and national will. Governor Polat highlighted the vital importance of organizing these events in a manner that profoundly reflects the collective spirit of national unity and solidarity. Following the evaluation of feedback and proposals from institutional representatives, it was noted that the finalized schedule of events for Kars will be announced to the public in the coming days.
